Announcements for Community Helper Week

This coming week we will be learning about the many people who help in our community. Our students will enjoy several visitors. The police department will visit on Tuesday morning. The officer will be available to share with us the things she does on her job. She will share the aspects of her uniform that help her do her job and will also be allowing the kids access to her vehicle! A meteorologist will come to visit on Wednesday. He will share the things he does for the community as he works to keep us safe from dangerous weather and to share the forecast with us. Thursday a librarian (a.k.a. The Library Lady) is coming to share what she does at the library. She will also share several selections from the library. The classes will all hit the road on a walking trip on Friday. The children will walk across the street to visit Deirbergs. They will visit each department and see what happens behind the scenes at their neighborhood store. Please look for the permission slips for this trip on the sign in desk downstairs. If your child normally comes on Tuesday and Thursday you are welcome to join us for the trip. We will need you to come with your child if it is not their normal class day. Please know that all parents are invited to join us for the fun!
