Math Moments...

What is thick? What is thin? The children learned some new vocabulary as they explored this concept. We focused on holding an object at eye level and how to measure thickness. The kiddos went on a size hunt as they looked for items that were thick and thin. Some chose to compare blocks. They sorted the wooden blocks and discussed how to compare them. It was so awesome to watch the students discuss how a block could be thicker than one block but thinner than another. We explored this concept this week as we found things during center time and compared them. The children also reviewed Large, Medium ad Small!
