Bible Time this week revolved around the first two people that God made. The children heard the story of Adam and Eve. They learned that Adam and Eve were able to have a wonderful home in the Garden of Eden. We explored what the Garden may have looked like. The children imagined what it might have been like to visit with God every day and to walk with him. The kiddos were so disappointed when the story progressed on to learning that Adam and Eve did not obey God. They were sad to hear that God had to ask them to leave the garden. We also had a “Paul story” that paralleled the Bible story about obeying. The story involved Paul eating a special snack, Nuttella and bread. His mom had told him not to but he disobeyed. We tried a special snack of Nuttella and French bread after Bible time to see why Paul liked it so much. The snack was a hit with the students. You can find Nuttella in the grocery store next to the peanut butter for those who have kiddos that “need” to have some for home.
